Homeowner FAQs
Every home is different, but during major events in Kansas City we have seen nightly rates increase 3 to 5 times normal market pricing. As a general estimate, many homes can average approximately $8,000 to $12,000 per bedroom over the 30 day World Cup window depending on location, condition, and amenities. A well positioned 4 bedroom home could reasonably project in the $35,000 to $50,000 plus range. We provide a personalized revenue projection based on real demand data, not inflated promises.
Guest quality is everything during a global event. We screen every reservation before confirmation, including identity verification, review history, trip purpose, and direct communication prior to approval. We do not allow unauthorized events or party style bookings. With nearly a decade operating and thousands of five star reviews under our Superhost account, protecting homes is our priority.
We recommend removing valuables and irreplaceable items. From there, we walk the home with you and create a clear plan for what stays, what gets stored, and what gets locked away. Most homeowners designate a locked room, closet, or garage area for personal storage. You will receive a detailed preparation checklist so there is no guesswork.
While serious issues are rare, we operate with multiple layers of protection. Bookings include platform protections where applicable, and we also utilize supplemental short term rental insurance on a per night basis. In the rare event something occurs, we help facilitate the claims process and ensure it is handled correctly. You will not be navigating it alone.
No. We manage the full guest experience from booking through checkout, including communication, access coordination, and on call support. You can be completely hands off, or as involved as you prefer.
The sooner the better. Early licensing and positioning allows us to capture premium bookings as international travel plans begin. Most homes can be fully prepared and live within 2 to 4 weeks. To ensure proper licensing and exposure, we recommend onboarding no later than mid May 2026.
Payouts are released after guests complete their stay in line with booking platform policies. For World Cup reservations, many payments will be processed during and immediately following the tournament window. You will receive detailed statements and full transparency on all earnings.
We only onboard homes we believe can perform during the World Cup window. Before listing, we provide a realistic projection based on location, condition, and demand data. If we do not believe your home is positioned to generate meaningful revenue, we will tell you. Proper positioning and early listing significantly increase booking probability.
With premium pricing and controlled guest screening, most World Cup stays resemble extended vacation travel rather than high turnover party rentals. There will always be normal use such as laundry, kitchen use, and foot traffic, but our standards are designed to minimize excessive wear. Preparation and clear expectations make a major difference.
